Cambridge DELTA Support Programme
The Cambridge English DELTA is a three-module qualification with internal and external assessment designed to promote reflective teaching in developing and proficient teachers. It can serve as a gateway to more senior teaching, mentoring and training roles, and provides a widely recognised “passport” for teachers who wish to work in different countries. The DELTA is recognised by OFQUAL, a government department that regulates qualifications, examinations and assessments in England, as a Masters-level qualification.
The DELTA is suitable for teachers who have at least one year’s experience of teaching English (though more is recommended) and have a level of English that is between C1 and C2 or higher.
uccess in the Cambridge Delta requires you to have an extensive knowledge of issues in planning and teaching English. Module 1 - the Written Exam - and Module 3 - the Extended Assignment also necessitates a clear understanding of how to take the exam and write the extended assignment in a way that maximises your performance. To prepare for taking the Delta Module 1 and Module 3 qualifications you have various options, while Module 2 requires you to follow a course of study.
